  • The full-scale destruction of Hurricane Sandy is still unknown at this point, but insurance industry expert say the total damage cost will be in the billions.  New Jersey caught the worst of the storm. More than 75 percent of the Jersey Shore is flooded.  Seaside Heights Mayor Bill Akers says it's hard not to get emotional:

'Trick or vote!'

(CNN) – Halloween is here. And tonight, mixed in with the sounds of children yelling ‘trick or treat’ may be young adults shouting…'Trick or Vote!'

Trick of Vote is a nationwide effort to encourage younger voters to get to the polls next Tuesday and exercise their civic duty.

Halloween for pets big business

(CNN) – This Halloween Americans are expected to spend $370 million on pet costumes, according to the National Retail Federation.

That's a 40% increase since 2010.
