(CNN) - When I first heard I'd be interviewing the author of "The End of Men ... And The Rise of Women" I wanted to decline. I had no desire to do a premature obituary on my gender. But the women who run CNN's guest bookings department prevailed. And I am glad they did.

Because if you listen to this CNN Radio interview with Hanna Rosin, you will learn that what she has found is not the end of men as a species, but a certain decline among a big section of us that we are fully capable of reversing, provided we acknowledge the problem which she has documented in her book.

Hanna Rosin is certainly not rooting against us men. She has a husband, after all. And she has a son, as do I and many of you. And she is using the insights from her book to help frame her approach to parenting so that her boy thrives.

Listen to this edition of CNN Profiles on the SoundCloud player above and you will get fresh insights into why more women than ever are poised to excel in our society, and what so many men are fully capable of doing to excel alongside them.

I need to remind myself to say a little prayer for the aging American feminazis and their poor lap-dog husbands when I go to the Caribbean every Christmas to party with the hotties in San Juan on New Year's, or get myself oiled by a young new amiguita on a beach in the Dominican Republic, or sit in a hot tub in Otrabanda with a couple of dushi cheks wearing Santa hats, sharing a bottle of Blue Curazao *snicker*.

"End of Men?" Disappointed to encounter so much gloating and smug behavior from women at the troubles men have encountered.

Please listen to the show. There was absolutely no gloating. On the contrary ....
