  • Egyptians in three cities along the Suez Canal have been ignoring curfews put in-place by President Mohamed Morsy. Clashes between anti-government protestors and police have killed nearly 40 in the town of Port Said.  Cairo has also seen violence.  Now, Egypt's defense minister says this latest flare-up "may lead to the collapse of the state." CNN Senior International orrespondent Ben Wedeman says it's a warning to take note of:

"I think many people were alarmed by what he said because he's warning of the possibility of a civil war."        FULL POST

Capitol Hill (CNN) – Rep. Justin Amash, the conservative from Michigan said it bluntly.

[1:55] “The public is not behind us and that’s a real problem for our party."

In the past week, Republicans from Capitol Hill to Charlotte, NC (site of a national GOP strategy session) have publicly said what politicians of all stripes usually reserve for closed-door discussions, questioning and debating the direction of their party.
