(CNN) – Welcome to CNN Radio News Day.

  • Police officers in crisp blue uniforms were among the thousands that turned-out in Boston to remember Sean Collier. He's the MIT police officer gunned-down in his squad car by the suspected Boston marathon bombers last week. But while the Collier family gets closure out of a terror attack that resonated across the country, many families of the attacks of September 11, 2001 still wait for theirs. More than a thousand victims' remains are still missing, but recently recovered debris at the World Trade Center site has yielded bone fragments. Michael Burke still hopes for closure, after losing his firefighter brother Billy that horrible day 12-and-a-half years ago:

"It would be a relief to know that these sacred remains are no longer sitting in a landfill somewhere. Whatever we choose to do with them, they would be regarded with all due reverence. It would be nice I guess, even an envelope." FULL POST
